Ingredient highlight:

ORGANIC PEPPERMINT: Used since ancient times by the Egyptians, Chinese, Japanese, Greeks, and Romans for its medicinal properties, peppermint is an aromatic herb; stimulating, relaxing, and warming with a secondary cooling action. In Ayurveda, peppermint is used to pacify aggravated pitta (too much heat in the body). And in traditional Chinese medicine, it is used to move stagnant energy and stimulate digestion.

ORGANIC SPEARMINT: The menthol in spearmint leaves provides a relaxing and slightly soothing effect on the body, promotes relaxation, and alleviates stress. Ingesting the aroma has a grounding yet awakening effect on the body and mind and is often used for added focus, clarity, and lightness. Spearmint has been cultivated worldwide for thousands of years and is most commonly used to soothe the stomach and easing gas and bloating.

ORGANIC TULSI/ HOLY BASIL: In India, tulsi is considered a sacred plant, worshipped as a goddess, and often used before meditation to bring in higher states of awareness. It is regarded as a potent adaptogen, a classification of herbs that helps the body adapt to stress by promoting homeostasis. The medicinal properties of tulsi have been studied in hundreds of scientific studies and reveal that tulsi possess many pharmacological actions. Regular consumption of tulsi tea is often referred to as “liquid yoga” compared to the regular practice of yoga through nurturing and nourishing the body, mind, and soul while fostering a sense of relaxation and wellbeing.

ORGANIC CACAO NIBS: Since the dawn of ancient civilizations in the Americas, cacao has been used as both a sacred plant (a gift from the Gods) and functional food. Cacao nibs are remarkably high in antioxidants and flavonols and contain essential minerals to the body as well as being rich in phytonutrients. The plant's antioxidant qualities are considered as one of the major health benefits of cacao, specifically to skin and heart health.

Cacao nibs contain natural traces of caffeine. However, the amount of caffeine from the cacao nibs in this blend is insignificant given only a couple of nibs are used for each teaspoon.
